Our Sustainability Promise
At Spy Bar, we recognise the influence and impact that our business has on the environment and the communities in which we operate. We are committed to sustainability and to minimising our environmental footprint, while enhancing the wellbeing of our guests, employees and local communities. We are supported in this journey by our sustainability accreditation partner, Green Tourism.
Supporting our community
We’re proud to give back to our local community through meaningful initiatives. We sponsor some of the local university sports teams each year and support them in their charity events through prize donations.

Recent initiatives include contributions to the Woodland Trust, organising a charity football match to support the Team Luke Foundation, litter picks to help clean up the local area, as well as sponsoring birds and trees locally too.
Environmental initiatives
Eco-friendly practices are at the heart of what we do.
We have daily checks in place to ensure that we continue saving energy. Our lighting is mostly LED and we have systems in place to ensure unnecessary lighting is turned off, alongside this we have regular meter checks to monitor energy usage and the information is shared with the team.
We have regular meetings to discuss wastage management and we utilise separate bins for glass, cardboard and mixed recycling to ensure effective sustainability and recycling efforts across the venue.
Our Team
We believe in providing a safe and healthy workplace for all team members. We are committed to continually improving our business practices and minimising environmental impact. Our team members play a vital role in reducing our footprint by actively participating in sustainability efforts. Sustainability is a priority, with an on-site Sustainability Champion and regular training for all team members.
Guest Support
Our guests play a critical role in promoting sustainability in our venue.
We encourage guests to use public transport to travel to and from our venues. We’re located next to some great travel routes from both bus and metro and only a short walk from the city centre.

We value guest feedback and input in driving innovative ideas to reduce the environmental impact of our hotel. We encourage our guests to send feedback to each venue, sharing their ideas and suggestions for reducing waste, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable practices. By working together with our guests, we can continue to build a sustainability program that provides guests with the flexibility and freedom to stay in a way that aligns with their values and preferences, while also contributing to a more sustainable future.
